EVENTS

Travel by private air on a wilderness adventure in the Florida Everglades. We start the day with a light pre-flight breakfast of fresh squeezed Florida orange juice, a selection homemade pastries and muffins and fresh local fruit. Savor the scenic views as we depart over Miami, and view the vast expanse of the watery Everglades. 

Your journey will begin in Everglades City, a rustic town on the edge of the bird-filled mangroves. There we will meet our naturalist guide, who will guide us through the history of the town at the Museum of the Everglades – a museum in an old laundry building that brings to life the history and culture of the old Everglades.

Before embarking on our rustic journey, we will feast on local seafood specialties, including locally-caught stone crabs, shrimp, and oysters at one of the best waterside café’s in Everglades City.

After lunch, we board an airboat that will float us across the vast expanse of the Ten Thousand Islands of the Everglades. As we travel through this swampy paradise, we will see rare birds, alligators and wildlife that live in the mangroves, and go back in time to learn the history of the early Florida settlers.

We will continue our journey back in time at the Rod and Gun Club, an old Florida hunting lodge frozen in time at the turn of the century. Explore the original artifacts stuck in time, and have a drink on the lovely veranda overlooking the water, before returning to the airport for our journey home…
